Disney Parks and Resorts have been developing new experiences featuring Star Wars in recent years, including the previously opened Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in the U.S. parks. Another brand new accommodation named as Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be coming to Walt Disney World Resort in 2022, offering a 2-night completely immersive package to guests, similar to the operation of a cruise line.

To begin the journey, guests will be arriving at the Galactic Terminal where they will board a Launch Pod to enter the galaxy. The official app had already updated with a new map, showing the concept of this new way of galactic travel.

After a short travel through hyperspace, the launch pod will bring guests to board the Halcyon, a luxurious starcruiser with plenty of activities awaiting for them, including chances to meet and interact with different characters onboard.

The Halcyon offers comfortable cabins for its passengers, each of them equipped with a large bed and buck beds for children. Guests may take a look at the beautiful galaxy at any time, through the observation window inside the cabin.

Crown of Corellia Dining Room will be featuring first-class cuisines throughout the journey, with live entertainment available at designated times. Passengers of all ages may also sip a drink in the stylish Sublight Lounge.

During the 2-night journey onboard the Halcyon, passengers will be invited to enter the Bridge, learning to control the systems of the starcruiser under the guidance of crews. They may also attend a lightsaber training session and test their strength with the Force. Disney had just released a video demonstrating a new kind of lightsaber which is under development by Walt Disney Imagineering. The new lightsaber is even more realistic than before, and will make its first appearance exclusively at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The itinerary of Halcyon will also include a spaceport of call on the planet of Batuu, also known as Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Passengers will be able to travel directly to the land using transport ships from the starcruiser.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be the very first Disney Hotel to offer a 2-night immersive accommodation to its guests. With the special design to link up with the Star Wars themed land inside the park, this brings storytelling into a whole new level. Disney had also announced that interactive features will be added into the experience, which means story progress will be determined by choices of guests, so that everyone may result in a different ending.
